Scholarship
The Academic and Civic Excellence
Scholarship is awarded to the individual that demonstrates both
outstanding academic performance during the past 2 semesters as well
as significant civic involvement through volunteer work or other
activities that benefit the community. The applicant is required to
be a full time student with a minimum of 12 semester hours in each
qualifying semester.
Required
Information: Verifiable copies of spring and fall semester grades,
supporting information that describes the civic activities.
Additional supporting information may be sent in along with copies
of grades.

Alpha Rho Academic Achievement Scholarship
The Academic Achievement Scholarship is awarded to
the individual that demonstrates the greatest overall academic
performance during the past 2 semesters measured in terms of GPA,
number of credit hours, and difficulty of course schedule. The
applicant is required to be a full time student with a minimum of 12
semester hours in each of the qualifying semesters.

copies of spring and fall semester grades.
Alpha Rho Academic Improvement
Scholarship
The
Academic Improvement Scholarship is awarded to the individual that
demonstrates the greatest improvement in semester to semester GPA.
The applicant is required to be a full time student with a minimum
of 12 semester hours in each qualifying semester. The calculation is
as follows:
Previous Semester GPA -
Most Current Semester GPA = Academic Improvement
Required Information: Verifiable copies
of spring and fall semester grades.
Alpha Rho
Queen's Club Scholarship
The Queen's Club Scholarship is awarded
to the individual that demonstrates any of a variety of positive
leadership, personal responsibility, or academic initiatives. The
applicant is required to be a full time student with a minimum of 12
semester hours in the current semester. Choose one of the following
areas of consideration and provide supporting details in the text
area below the list.
Required Information: Verifiable copy of
spring semester grades.
Holding
a leadership position in WVU student government, WVU IFC, or civic /
government organization.
An
officer or lead position for sanctioned philanthropic or civic
function sponsored by Alpha Rho and does not directly benefit the
chapter.
Participation
in charitable or civic programs within the community.
Securing a
summer internship or cooperative position in a field that would
contribute to securing a professional position after graduation.
Demonstrating
personal responsibility or leadership in support of the chapter.
Entering the
WVU academic honors program or achieving other academic recognition
during the semester.
